At The Harbor, we operate as a congregation-led church. We don’t require official church membership to attend and be involved at The Harbor, but we do use church membership as a valuable way of ensuring that those who vote and make decisions for The Harbor are aligned in beliefs and values with the church.
Church membership isn’t required by the Bible, but it is a way of officially identifying oneself with a local body of believers. Church membership is a statement that a Christian is in agreement with a particular local church and is willing to be identified as a representative of it. At The Harbor, we offer membership classes regularly to help those who are interested understand more about our beliefs and unique role in the Body of Christ.
