Ministries at The Harbor are each strategically aligned to make and mature disciples in the most effective manner. We frequently adapt and tune our ministries as we sense God leading us to refine our focus.
Corporate Worship and Teaching
As each Sunday morning service begins, the congregation’s focus is turned to our risen Savior, Jesus Christ. Our worship service varies from week to week, but typically begins with a time of singing contemporary worship songs together, followed by a sermon, and then closing with a few more worship songs. At The Harbor, we typically teach Bible passages verse-by-verse and help you apply God’s truth to your life.
We believe that children are not the church of tomorrow… they are the church of today. We love kids and we want to partner with you as you raise your children to become mature, grounded men and women who love God, love His word, and love those around them. We use biblically strong, creative curriculum that thematically shows the children God’s love displayed through the scriptures. We also provide activities year round that encourage kids to put their faith into action. Click here to learn more about HarborKids.
Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Since Jesus’ last words to his disciples were to go and make disciples, we have a strong missions focus at the Harbor. From short term missions to sending families overseas as their full-time career, we support missions in a HUGE way because it is near to the heart of God to see every tribe and nation reached for His glory.
Our junior high and high school ministries meet midweek and every Sunday morning during Sunday School prior to the main worship service. See Matt Patterson for upcoming events and weekly meeting times and information. Click here to learn more about Student Ministries.
Connecting with other believers in love and support is what our Small Groups are all about. Many times we live such busy lives that we have no time for meaningful relationships and mentoring, but our mid-week Small Groups are designed to bring busy families together to support each other through the trials we find ourselves facing every week. We gather to pray for each other, to talk about God’s Word, and Serve together.
Royal Family KIDS
We have incredible team that hosts annual summer camps for at-risk foster children in North Santa Barbara county. Royal Family KIDS camps pour love into abused and neglected kids, and can alter the course of a child’s life.
The Harbor launched the Santa Maria chapter of Royal Family KIDS in 2010, and partners with local businesses and churches in the community to provide camps, mentoring, and after-school clubs to meet the deep needs of these children. Click Here to Learn More
As physical needs in our congregation arise, we have a team of people committed to helping others out in tangible ways to serve those in need. Contact the church office for details.
