The goal of the Men's Fellowship at The Harbor is to train and equip men to be spiritual leaders in their families and church, and to develop characteristics of a Godly man.
The Men's Fellowship wants to create an environment in which men can grow and be effective in their families, spiritual walk, work, and communities. Through small groups, men meet on a regular basis for Bible study, discussion, accountability, and restoration.

Are You Abel?
Genesis 4:4 "And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering."
All to often when we read the account of Cain and Abel, our focus is immdeiately on Cain, but what about Abel? Is there something we learn from Abel, something we can add to our own lives from his life, offering and death? What is so special of Abel, that Jesus lists him first among the martyrs and even describes him as righteous in Matthew 23:35?
We read that Abel brought of his flock. But was Abel's goat better than Cain's bushel of carrots? Or is there something more we're not seeing at first glance? Often noted is that Abel brought his first and best, or that because he brought a lamb, it was more acceptable than Cain's sack of potatoes. We read in Hebrews 11:4(NAB) "By faith Abel offered to God a sacrifice greater than Cain's. Through this he was attested to be righteous. God bearing witness to his gifts, and though this, though dead, he still speaks."
Abel was a man of character, he was a "man of faith". It wasn't what Abel brought that God preferred, but how he brought it. He borught his gift with faith. What do we have to offer God today? Don't worry if it's a bushel of carrots or a sack of potatoes, just bring it in faith.
Are you Abel to bring your gifts in faith?
