Children are not the church of tomorrow… they are the church of today.
We love kids and we want to partner with you as you raise your children to become mature, grounded men and women who love God, love His word, and love those around them. We use biblically strong, creative curriculum that thematically shows the children God’s love displayed through scriptures. We also provide activities year round that encourage kids to put their faith into action.
Our nursery is available during the Worship Service and Sunday School for little ones, ages birth through 3 years. We create a friendly, loving environment where the children can play and explore. Our dedicated nursery staff attend to every need of every child.
Children’s Church, ages preschool through 6th grade, begins at 10:15am in the main worship service. The kids participate with their families in worship prior to being dismissed to their classes. They are also encouraged to participate in our monthly communion, at their parents’ discretion. Following the worship service and a break, the children are dismissed for Sunday School to their age appropriate classrooms. See an usher for help in finding your child’s class.
Preschool Children’s Church
Our Preschool class, ages 3 to pre-K, the fun of learning through art and games that explore themes, places, and characters in the Bible. We encourage family participation at home with take-home crafts, discussion starters, and other prompts, allowing parents to reinforce each week’s lessons at home. We know these kids have a lot of energy- they get the wiggles out, sing songs, and play with toys specific to each week’s lessons.
K-6th Children’s Church
Kids ask BIG questions, we provide BIG answers… straight from the Bible! Kids ages Kindergarten-6th grade have a blast learning through interactive Bible lessons from Gospel Light’s curriculum. The curriculum takes a thematic approach to teaching Bible stories. The kids love learning through games, art, worship, and scripture memorization.
Families are encouraged to join us for Sunday school prior to the worship service. Sunday School begins at 9:00am and includes special topics and discussion to help us grow in our faith.
Preschool Sunday School
The children continue with our Preschool curriculum during our Sunday School hour. Knowing attention spans are short at this age, they are allowed time to play games, puzzles, sing songs, play with toys, or play on our playground.
Easter Egg-stravaganza, Harvest Carnival, and Vacation Bible School are just a few of the special children’s events at The Harbor. Watch for information on upcoming special events!
Putting faith into action, the children are provided with opportunites to serve others both in our church body and our community. Recent services projects include making blankets for our local hospital, making sack lunches for the homeless shelter, and caring for our church property by pulling weeds.
