Student Ministries Outreach to The Newlove Community

After 3 days of training at our summer “boot camp” and several puppet practices, our students joined together with Newlove students and the Atascadero Bible Church to assist David Jimenez with the annual Newlove Carnival on October 17th.  The Harbor’s water balloon game became the “hit” of the Carnival, and over 100 “Wordless Books” were handed out as Rebecca Castillo recited the Gospel message to the children in attendance.  At the Harbor’s craft table, the children made beaded bracelets that reinforced the Gospel message in the wordless books.  The colors in the books and the beads represented Heaven, the darkness of sin, the blood of Jesus, forgiveness, and growing in the knowledge of Him.  At center stage, our worship team blessed the crow with music, and our students performed a series of puppet shows throughout the day.
